WOW! Cultural Festival Stars!

We are so proud of our Cultural Festival students who showed that they are indeed our Burnside Shining Stars!
Most of these students were from our senior school and we look forward to watching this performance on Monday so we can congratulate each and every one of them for their wonderful performance.

Discovery time

This morning we were treated to Mohamed's mum, Habiba, sharing her skills in henna painting. Some of us were lucky enough to get a design on our hands. Miss Browne then dried them with the hair dryer. It took a long time and it got a bit hot too sometimes! We love our designs and look forward to Haniba coming back again another day.
Thanks for sharing your skills with us Habiba!

Welcome Maya!

This week we welcomed Maya to our class and school! Her big sister, Irie, and big brother, Ryan, introduced her to our school at assembly.

Artists at work

We have been busy at interchange over the last three weeks learning some painting skills. We used shaving foam and PVA glue to make puffy paint for our snowmen. Last week we painted our background by mixing the secondary colours - purple, orange and green. This week we cut out all the details and put them together.
