This morning we were able to try our dehydrated fruit. We made this last week as part of our investigations about energy. Miss Browne brought in a dehydrator for us to use. We had to chop up lots of different types of fruit and put it into layers. Electricity comes through the cord to the big white machine. It makes a fan go. The fan makes wind. The electricity makes it a warm wind. The warm wind pushes through the fruit until it is dry. Then we had to pick it off the trays put it in the big blue bowl. It has been waiting all week for us to find some time to try it. It was delicious. It was chewy. It was sweet. We loved the apples and bananas best.

Collin was here on his second visit to school. He enjoyed trying the apples.
